Employee Spotlight – Dung 5

Dung Ngo Thuy

Quality Assurance
Hanoi, Vietnam

Dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer. Employee of the Year. Writer, reader, and always impeccably styled—Dung Ngo has made her mark on Creative Force over the past three years. In this spotlight, Dung shares her journey with Creative Force, the daily habits that keep her productive, and how she’s helping to build our workplace culture—all while balancing a passion for writing, walking, and the occasional dream of exploring Venice.

Let's start with your Creative Force journey. Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at Creative Force?

Absolutely! I’ve been with Creative Force for almost three years now as a software testing engineer. My job is all about ensuring our product’s quality. I spend a lot of time experimenting and communicating to catch every possible issue before it reaches our users. I double-check, triple-check, and even quadruple-check every feature, working with both technical and non-technical team members to make sure we’re delivering the best experience we can.

That sounds intense! Do you have any daily habits or strategies that help you manage your work day-to-day?

I actually use a four-stage system: plan, do, track, reflect. I picked it up from a friend, and it’s been a game-changer for staying productive. My day starts with at least three items on my to-do list, where I define the output I’m aiming for and the steps I need to get there. Throughout the day, I work on implementing the plan, tracking progress as I go. If I need to, I pause to observe and make adjustments. My day wraps up with 15 minutes of reflection—my favorite part—where I tweak and note down any lessons I’ve learned.

Very structured! It’s no wonder why you were awarded Employee of the Year last year! You’ve been with us for three years, what about the work experience at Creative Force do you enjoy?

Initially, I was drawn to the product—it’s robust, with lots of features that enhance productivity and focus on user experience. But over time, I’ve come to really appreciate how adaptable Creative Force is. The company not only listens to our customers but is also highly responsive to employees. I feel safe sharing my ideas, taking initiative, and seeing projects through. The agile spirit here was one of my first impressions of Creative Force, and it’s something I’d definitely highlight to a friend if they asked me about working here.

What about life outside of work? What do you enjoy doing?

Outside of work, I love writing and walking—those are my go-to activities for recharging. I try to make time for both, even if it’s just a little bit. It lets me disconnect and dive into my own world, whether I’m creating stories on the page or exploring new paths on a walk.

Writing and walking sound like perfect ways to unwind. What keeps you motivated day-to-day?

It's a combination of internal and external motivations. Internally, I genuinely enjoy the work and the satisfaction of improving my skills. Externally, it's the teamwork, the recognition of our efforts, and—let's be real—the compensation doesn’t hurt! The collaborative culture and constant support from my teammates also keep me driven.

Sounds like a solid mix! You are also very active in helping us build our company culture. What initiatives are you most proud of?

I'm passionate about building a vibrant workplace culture, so with the help of our Sharing Hub organizer, I started an English-sharing group. Many colleagues had been asking me for language tips, given my background in teaching English, and now we have a fun, interactive space where we can all improve our communication skills together.

That’s awesome! Lastly, what are your goals, both for work and in your personal life?

My ultimate goal at work is to maintain a bug-free product with every release, so I’ll keep pushing toward that zero-bug ambition, even with the challenges that come with testing. Personally, I love the excitement of new experiences, especially through travel.

My current dream? Spending an afternoon in Venice.
Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?
