We usually wait a few months after they've been hired before introducing you to our employees here at Creative Force, but one of our newest hires is already making waves and we'd like to introduce him immediately!
For this intro, we're heading back to Hanoi to tell you about our new artificial intelligence (AI) team lead and researcher, Thanh Tung Hoang.
Creative Force: First off, thank you for joining us! We're so excited to have you on the team.
Thanh: Thank you, it's great to be here.
You've been with us for a month now, right? What drew you to Creative Force?
Yes, almost 2 now. And, Creative Force gives me the opportunity to apply my research to real-world products.
Speaking of research, did I read correctly that you're also a lecturer at Vietnam National University?
I am an adjunct lecturer at VNU. I teach on Saturday only 
(yes, VNU offers classes on Saturday).
That's incredible! What is involved with that?
I teach math and machine learning classes at VNU. Occasionally, I give public lectures about AI and my research.
Wow! We don't know how you find the time. What's your actual title at Creative Force?
AI Researcher/Leader
Does that mean you program or literally research AI? Is this on the dreem project?
Yes, I'm on the dreem project. I build the AI team, set the direction for the team, and develop AI applications. My job involves both coding and research (because some applications require technologies that are not yet publically available). Currently, we are developing several applications and integrating them into the platform.
What's your favorite part about working at Creative Force so far?
Friendly colleagues and I receive support when needed. The leaders have a clear plan for the development of the product.
Have you worked on any projects that you're really excited about?
We are working on a Copywriter bot for the Creative Force platform. This project will help users to create better content more easily and faster.
Should I be nervous? lol What are you most excited about for the future?
No, of course not! There are many places at Creative Force where AI can help improve productivity. AI will be an important part of the Creative Force platform in the future.
What do you do outside of work for fun?
Running. We also have a runner group at Creative Force. It's really fun to work out together.
I just got back into running too, but as a remote worker, I do it solo. What's the proudest thing that you've done outside of work recently?
I have a paper published at ACL 2023 (the best conference in Natural Language Processing)
Wow, what's the paper about, if you can tell us?
My paper proposes a novel method for detecting errors in large datasets. That will help researchers create higher-quality datasets with less effort.
Is there anything else you want to share that might surprise our readers?
